This exclusive one-day training session at III-V Lab is tailored for SMEs and start-ups seeking to accelerate their photonics expertise, particularly in applications spanning security, defense and space, as well as digital infrastructure. Delivered by our expert teams, the program provides a comprehensive introduction to the technologies, methods, and industrial capabilities behind cutting-edge III-V photonic components. This training session is more than a technical introductory course—it’s an invitation to explore collaboration, co-development, and deep integration with III-V Lab’s industrial research know-how. Following a presentation of the PhotonHub services, participants will gain insight into our development pipeline—ranging from device simulation and design, wafer epitaxy and processing, back-end preparation (thinning, cleaving, facet coating), to electro-optical characterization and packaging. Live demonstrations, including a characterization showcase, will provide hands-on exposure to the precision tools and processes used throughout the photonic device lifecycle. III-V Lab’s support for innovation is structured around four strategic axes: 1. Epitaxy Services: Custom wafer development based on III-V materials like Indium Phosphide, optimized for performance and integration. 2. Micro Transfer Printing: Advanced techniques for transferring III-V photonic coupons onto heterogeneous substrates, enabling new hybrid photonic architectures. 3. Photonic ICs Open Platform: A shared ecosystem for designing, fabricating, and testing photonic integrated circuits, lowering entry barriers for emerging developers. 4. Hybrid Lasers: Expertise in developing and intergating hybrid integrated laser sources for high-performance applications in defense, telecom, and sensing. The day will end with a Q&A session with our photonic experts and conclude with information on how to apply to the PhotonHub website and participant feedback.
