The next edition of the International School on Light Sciences and Technologies will focus on "Light in Health and Medicine".
Several ISLiST grants can be offered, funded by the companies sponsoring the ISLiST summer school. The grants are mainly intended for international students that cannot apply to the official UIMP grants for EU nationals (current Standard UIMP Grants what call is currently open in April-May). So, any Bachelor, Master and PhD Student from any worldwide institution can apply to these ISLIST International Student Grants (IISG).
The ISLiST grants (IISG) cover course registration fee, accommodation and living expenses for five days, from Sunday, June 14 to Friday, June 19. Please note that travel expenses are not covered.
Due date for applications: Sunday, 22 February 2026.
Notification of grants assignments (by email): Monday, 2 March 2026.

The required documentation:
- CV/Resumé.
- Academic Certification/s(indicating your average mark/s on a 10-point scale). If you have received an honours degree, please attach the corresponding certificate. A document certifying your current condition as student should also be included.
- Short Personal Statement(one paragraph): we would like to hear your comments regarding your motivation to participate in the ISLIST Summer School, as well as your main research interests.
- (optional) Student Advisor’s Recommendation Letter: we will also take into account a letter from your advisor supporting your application to participate in the ISLIST Summer School.
