The Workshop is a meeting that gathers the community of semiconductor lasers. It is intended to provide a forum for presentation of recent results in the field of physics and technology of semiconductor lasers, as well as to transfer the knowledge and the expertise to younger scientists. The workshop will be organized as a combination of plenary lectures given by worldwide recognized experts and short contributed oral presentations, plus an afternoon poster session. The organizers especially encourage young scientists to participate in the workshop for whom a reduced registration fee is offered. The organizers hope to provide participants with a comfortable and stimulating environment for presenting their most recent achievements as well as for discussing current scientific and engineering challenges in this field.
