On 19 November 2019, the SPECTARIS Forum "Photonik 4.0" will bring top-class experts from industry, research and politics together / Focus on lasers in smart production
The implementation of Industry 4.0 opens up new horizons in terms of flexibility and variety in production. However, in order to be able to produce a wide variety of products from the digital zeros and ones without human intervention, a universal tool is required. This is where the laser comes into play as an ideal partner. By varying the laser power, beam deflection, wavelength and other digitally controllable parameters, the laser can be adjusted on-the-fly to a wide variety of machining situations.
At the forum "Photonik 4.0 - Der Laser in der intelligenten Produktion", top-class speakers will present innovative concepts of laser technology in intelligent production and give an outlook on the development of the laser industry in the context of the comprehensive digitization of production processes. The three main topics will be laser systems, digitization and laser applications.
The event, under the auspices of the BMWi, is organized by the industry association SPECTARIS and the scientific society of laser technology WLT.
