In the framework of the EU-project CARLA, the Photonics Career Hub (https://carlahub.eu/), VUB B-PHOT is organizing CARLA Hybrid Camp Brussels 2022 (22-23-24 March, each time from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm).
CARLA Hybrid Brussels Camp aims to highlight various career possibilities within Photonics. We intend to cover the academic world, industry, and entrepreneurship for bachelors, master students, Ph.D. students, and postdocs during this event. The Photonics topics are also interspersed with presentations on soft skills and networking sessions, as well as highlighting the importance of career growth within student chapters. The language of this event is English.
On the 22nd of March, the Camp will take place entirely online, from 4:45 pm-8:45 pm. The Camp will take place in person in Vrije Universiteit Brussel on the 23rd and 24th of March with a live streaming option, from 4:30 pm - 9:30 pm.
The first evening will focus on photonics in general and student chapters networking. The second day is dedicated to a career in Photonics in Academia and soft skill training on career choice. During the third evening, the focus will be on the industry and entrepreneurs.

B-PHOT Student Chapter offers student grants to travel and attend the CARLA Camp in Brussels.
The grant applications are open to the current OPTICA and/or SPIE student members, who do not need VISA for travelling to Belgium.
