The German Tagesspiegel published a point-of-view article of Photonics21 President and CFO/CIO of Mahr, Lutz Aschke. In the article he stated, that Europe must now become more ambitious to keep pace with emerging investments from other regions of the world in cutting-edge technologies in order to remain competitive.
Photonics is largely unknown, yet it is absolutely a key technology for digitization, says Lutz Aschke from the Photonics21. Politicians must become aware of its great importance, otherwise there is a threat of similar dependencies and problems as we currently see in the field of semiconductors.
