Within the last days and weeks the first Photonics21 follow-up workshops have taken place to further discuss about and define the photonics research and innovation areas for the new European Photonics Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda. The Photonics21 work group members actively engaged in the discussions during these workshops. The European photonics community started the process alongside the Photonics Partnership Annual Meeting on 30th June and 1st July 2022.
In the upcoming weeks you still have the chance to become active and raise your voice by joining following Photonics21 workshops:
• Photonics21 Work Group 3 Workshop Health, 21 October 2022, starting at 9:00 am, Online Workshop
• Photonics21 Work Group 4 Workshop Climate, Mobility, Energy, 28 October 2022, starting at 10.00 am, Online Workshop
• Photonics21 Workshop Core Photonics, 18 November 2022, starting at 10:00 am, Online Workshop
Please register online for the workshops by following the respective links to the event website.
In the further process editor teams of the various Photonics21 work groups will work out the thematic chapters for the Photonics Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda. The Photonics21 secretariat will then share the draft chapters with the Photonics21 Board of Stakeholder as decision-making body of the platform for further feedback and approval. The final Photonics Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda will be published and provided to the European Commission alongside the next Photonics Partnership Annual Meeting in spring 2023.
